ABOUT ME
Hello! I’m Edward John Robinson III, a graduate Broadcast Journalism major from Florida A&M University, specializing in digital production. With a love for storytelling and a keen eye for videography, I aim to engage audiences through compelling narratives that resonate across various platforms.
My journey in this field began during my freshman year when I faced uncertainty about my career path. However, with the support of a mentor, I learned to embrace challenges and view failure as a vital part of growth. This mindset shift empowered me to dive into opportunities, such as recording sports events and pursuing internships that have shaped my skills and experiences.
In the summer of 2024, I had the privilege of working with Papa John's communications team in Atlanta, where I developed content that connected with diverse audiences. I am proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Audition, and I love utilizing my Sony A7III camera to capture stunning visuals. My experience also includes attending the UNCF Student Leadership Conference, where I enhanced my leadership skills and networked with industry professionals. I aspire to become a digital content creator, using my creativity and technical expertise to promote brands.
Thanks to that experience, I was fortunate enough to be one of two interns selected for the Miami Heat Broadcast position in the summer of 2025. I spent the summer competing in the Miami Heat Summer Internship League and helping my team achieve first place amongst four different teams. I got hands on experience with producing professional level videos and received an extension to intern through the entire season.
As I continue my journey, I am committed to leveraging my skills and experiences to contribute meaningfully to the dynamic world of digital media. Thank you for visiting my site, you can access my resume and creative works below! I look forward to connecting with you!
MIAMI HEAT SUMMER-season INTERNSHIP
In Summer 2025, I was one of only two students selected for the Miami Heat Broadcast Internship. During the competitive Summer Internship League, my team earned first place out of four teams. This opportunity allowed me to gain hands-on experience in professional sports media production, including creating broadcast graphics, editing highlight packages, contributing creative ideas in production meetings, and supporting live game and in-arena content.
Following the strong performance, I was extended through the entire 2025-26 NBA season, where I continued to support the broadcast team with video production, camera operation, and digital content creation.
This experience has been instrumental in developing my skills in high-pressure, fast-paced sports broadcasting environments and has reinforced my passion for telling compelling stories through video.
uncf student leadership conference 2024
During the summer of 2024 I was able to attend the UNCF Student Leadership Conference in Arlington, DC. At the conference, I was not only able to gain insights from leaders across various fields and departments, but also network with hundreds of students from different backgrounds. Through this conference I gained leadership skills, professional development skills, and networking skills. Below you can see a few of the pictures from the conference that capture the event.
papa johns 2024 rise intern
Along with being able to attend the UNCF Student Leadership Conference, I was able to intern with the Papa Johns Corporate Communications team through their RiSE scholarship program. During my time at Papa Johns I got to experience first hand how communications operates in the food industry, a field I was not use to before. I got the opportunity to work closely with the external and internal teams as well as the social media team, which helped enhance my own creative talent. Below is a slideshow presentation I put together at the end of my internship covering the work and experience I had during my time there.
